Power Systems PU signed a contract for ITER project

    The Heavy Electric Systems Sales Team of the Power System PU won the contract on August 12 in order to supply 18 converter-type transformers for commercialization of the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project being built in Cadarache, France.. With this contract, Hyosung will be supplying transformers to power the furnace 1st phase tests to implement nuclear fusion energy. The ITER Board of Directors is run under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to implement alternative eco-friendly energy resources like nuclear fusion generation in the advent of depletion of carbon energy sources in the future. Seven countries – Korea, EU, US, Russia, Japan, and India – set up a separate agency through the consortium to produce a nd deliver the agreed products.
