On April 12, Hyosung EBARA completed construction of its test facility for the HYDRO model for use in research and development at its plant in Changwon. With Kim Tae-kyung, head of EBARA PU, attending, the research center's employees renewed their pledge to develop the HYDRO, a core technology for pumps, in the wake of the facility's completion.
HYDRO means a three-dimension shape of Impeller and Casing, which determine a pump’s capability. HYDRO is a core technology of pumps, so other companies are reluctant to transfer the technology even though they sign a technology alliance pact. With the facility completed, Hyosung EBARA plans to step up its projects to develop its own model and produce trial products by conducting in-depth research on HYDRO.
