Hyosung Chairman S.R .Cho stresses joint prosperity for Korea, China and Japan in the 30-Leader meet

    Hyosung Chairman S.R. Cho attended the Thirty-Leader Meeting of Korea, China and Japan held at the Lotte Hotel Seoul, on February 12 and 13 as one of the thirty leaders selected from those representing political, business, academic and cultural circles in the three countries.

    In the 09:00 ~ 06:30 sessions held on the two days, the attendees were engaged in serious discussions. They agreed for the need of setting up a model of co-prosperity through brisk exchanges in economic, cultural and social sectors based on philosophies shared among them as North Asian countries. During the two-day session, discussions were made about the method of laying the foundation for a solid tripartite. A variety of ideas were also suggested for joint economic development.

    In his speech, S.R. Cho said, "The concepts discussed among us are expected to bring very important changes for future relations between the three countries. It is hoped that efforts will be made to put diverse ideas offered during the meeting into practice." The tripartite meeting was co-sponsored by the JoongAng Ilbo of Korea, the Xinhua News Agency of China and the Nihon Keizai of Japan. The three countries will take turns hosting the annual meeting.
