Hyosung-Yongyeon Factory signs a contract for use of waste heat/vapor from incineration facility
- In an effort to save energy expenses and reduce environmental pollution
On June 27, the Hyosung-Yongyeon Factory signed an MOU with the KICOX Ulsan Eco Center for the supply of steam energy from the Center’s incineration facility in Seongam-dong, Ulsan.
The deal is expected to help the factory secure the stable supply of the steam energy required for its operation and reduce its energy expenses. It will also help reduce sulfurous acid gas and carbon dioxide, thus helping the Company to be in an advantageous position to meet the requirements of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The factory will also review the possibility of expanding its production facility to take advantage of the steam energy supply in connection with the incineration facility’s plan for its capacity expansion.
