Kim Deok-soo plant manager of the Changwon Plant receives the Changwon Chamber of Commerce Award

In recognition for his leadership in improving productivity, increasing employment, stabilizing labor-management relationship and innovating the plant
On December 21, VP Kim Deok-soo, plant manager for the Hyosung Changwon Plant, received the Changwon Chamber of Commerce Award from the Changwon Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his contributions to improvement of productivity and financial performance and accomplishment of its export goal. VP Kim Deok-soo, as plant manager of the Changwon Plant, has been leading efforts to improve overall productivity rates, increase employment and innovate the plant in 2003. As a result, looking at the financial performance over the past three years, he saw average annual sales grow and contributed a great deal to the development of the local community. Also, he tried to set up a sound win-win labor-management culture by building a partnership, obtaining remarkable results in 2010 (i.e. reached a settlement in collective bargaining without any strikes). He introduced a program for revitalizing the organization and actively supported the volunteer activities of employees in an effort to improve employee welfare and promote the development of the local community. Mr. Kim Deok-soo was nominated as President of the Plant Managers Council of the Changwon Industrial Plant in 2010. He received this award as his contributions to the development of the company and the local community.
