10 winners recognized for promoting greater corporate competitiveness and profits
On November 17th, the Proud Hyosung Employee Awards ceremony was held at the company’s Mapo head office. Winners for the month of September included Industrial Machinery PU’s Park Myeong-sik (deputy senior manager), Park Dae-su (deputy senior manager), Oh Gi-seok (associate), Shim Yong-un (staffer), Jung Se-jin (staffer) and Sohn Yu-seon (staffer), who, with their unique combination of competitive strategies and proposals, had succeeded in securing orders from the South Korean Navy for manufacturing propulsion reduction gear units. Hyosung Good Springs PU also won the award, with its Lee Tae-jun (senior manager), Soh Seong-il (deputy senior manager) and Hong Jong-hyeon (associate) working on building the country’s largest seawater desalination system. The team’s upgraded PU clear-water design technology has brought about the successful completion of the seawater purification facility and has laid the foundations for the company’s increased market competitiveness in the overseas RO programs.
The proud Hyosung employee award also went to Lee Yong-seong, who is the manager of Tire & Industrial Reinforcements PU in the U.S. and is the person tasked with overseeing the Decatur car mat plant’s production management. Mr. Lee contributed to stabilizing the new plant’s production process and adopted process-operating approaches in which new technologies obtained in the U.S. were put to use. Additionally, he helped achieve a balance between the Korean and American management operating styles and their strengths. His method helped raise the plant’s operating rate to an unprecedented level and increase the facility’s production efficiency and profitability.
