The third ‘Morning Plaza’ event was held at the Main Auditorium of the Mapo HQ for employees in the Seoul area on April 14. ‘Morning Plaza’ is a lecture series program that helps employees broaden their minds and motivate themselves to take up such topics as management, humanities and culture.
For this ‘Morning Plaza’ Hyosung invited pharmacist-turned-entrepreneur Kim Seong-oh as a guest lecturer; he was the man known for having the smallest pharmacy in the country (15m2) who turned it into a landmark in Masan city. Kim shared his unique business philosophy that took him from a humble person with 6 million won in debt to opening the tiny pharmacy and then becoming the CEO of a 1 trillion won corporation. He talked about achieving a 200-fold growth in sales and how he told cab drivers to take him to ‘Yuk-Il Pharmacy’ for three years to make his pharmacy a landmark. He made the impossible happen with his unyielding determination and passion and made the tiny Yuk-Il Pharmacy into the most famous pharmacy in Masan.
