Hyosung has started a campaign for the preservation of historic sites in China related to Korean independence fighters' movements, including the site for the Korean Interim Government, during Japan's colonial rule, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Korea and China.

On August 24, the Company held a ceremony in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China, in connection with the plans to preserve a refuge where Kim Goo, a national leader, stayed, and the site for the Korean Interim Government, during Japan's colonial rule, with Jiaxing Mayor Chen Derong and the Korean Consul-General in Shanghai, Kim Yang attending.

Kim Goo and other leading independence fighters stayed at a two-story wooden building at 76 Meiwan St., Jiaxing right after Yoon Bong-gil carried out a bombing attack at a Japanese army celebration of Emperor Hirohito's birthday in Shanghai in 1932, and weren't caught by Japanese. They stayed here and nearby Hangzhou for three and half years until 1935.

Last May, Zhejiang Provincial Office designated the site as a cultural property and it was agreed that Hyosung would take charge of operation and maintenance of the newly built memorial hall.

At the ceremony, President Cho Hyun-taek of Hyosung Local Corporation in China said, "This is a historically significant site, where the nation's patriots, including Kim Goo, stayed, refreshing their resolve to regain the nation's independence. Hyosung decided to provide support for protection of the site and relevant research on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Korea and China to help Koreans visiting China to think about Kim Goo’s patriotism."
