Hyosung Ebara Co. (HEC) is Desalination Facility to be Up and Running on Muuido, Incheon

Hyosung Ebara Co. (HEC) is to install and operate a desalination facility capable of providing water for domestic use to Muuido (near Incheon International Airport) in Incheon City, in conjunction with Incheon City.
The facility to be installed on Muuido touts the scale to provide 100 tons of domestic or industrial water including drinking water using the 'containerized RO (Reverse Osmosis).' The facility takes up a small space compared to other desalination facilities and can be transported easily, so one of its strengths is to be installed in less spacious areas with challenging conditions for installation. In particular, Hyosung's pumps, highly recognized for high-efficiency and high-pressure with advanced technologies, are used to raise the equipment efficiency (withdrawal rate) by 10 to 20 percent compared to its counterparts.
HEC is home to exclusive production technologies for some core equipment and materials – high-pressure pumps and energy collection devices for sea water desalination. The company is also gearing up for the global pending issue of water shortage by continuing to push for developing energy-efficiency sea water desalination system technologies.
