Hyosung Group’s Chairman S.R. Cho Presiding Over the 41st Korea-Japan Business Conference

    Hyosung Group's Chairman S.R. Cho attended the 41st Korea-Japan Business Conference held at Lotte Hotel for two days from April 16, and promised to cooperate with representatives in the business field of both countries. The conference was attended by about 300 entrepreneurs from Korea and Japan including Chairman of Japan-Korea Economic Association Hidetane Iijima.
    President S.R. Cho, serving as the President of Korea-Japan Economic Association, presided over the conference as the representative of Korea. President S.R. Cho said at the opening ceremony, "Bilateral economic cooperation is essential to sustain the recently improving bilateral relations," adding, "I hope that both countries will strengthen bilateral cooperation amid the global economic challenges." Bilateral entrepreneurs reached a consensus to curb the spread of protectionism by jumping on the bandwagon of the global stage while speeding up the process for settling the Korea-Japan FTA (Free Trade Agreement) and BPA (Blanket Purchase Agreement). Moreover, in a bid to facilitate bilateral trade and investment, Korea promised to further strive in sectors encompassing employment & labor, intellectual property rights, finance, corporate justice, tourism and personnel exchange while Japan promised active cooperation in components & materials, non-tariff measures, government purchases and mutual certification.
