- In recognition of achievement made in the textile and chemical materials sectors
Hyosung R&D Institute, along with three other businesses, had the honor of winning the Presidential Citation at a ceremony held on February 18 in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Korean Industrial Technology Association. The citation was in recognition of the achievement made by the Company in the polyester, spandex and tire cord sectors, in which the Company has maintained technological prowess over the past few years, in the industrial materials sector, including aramid, and in the chemical materials sector, including PET bottles and packing films.
In the individuals sector, Senior Managing Director Lee Hak-seong of Hyosung Power & Industrial Systems PG won a prize from the Minister of Education, Science and Technology. He led the team that developed the country’s first 100MVA, 345kV-class devices and environmentally-friendly power devices as well as new renewable energy-related devices.
