The ‘University Students UCC Competition’ was held for three weeks from Sept 8 to Oct 10. The award ceremony was held on Nov 4 at the conference room on the 2nd floor of the head office. The Grand Award went to ‘Hyosung with the World’ made by Gwangseok Jeong, a student at Sungkonghoe Univ., which told the stories of Hyosung through the voices of 100 people. The Top Award went to three teams: ‘There are so many Hyosung’ by Jihun Ahn, a student at Myongji Univ.; ‘Depict Hyosung, depict the world’ by Yeongrong Kim of Far Eastern Univ.; ‘Hyosung Is a Virus of Love’ by Nari Yun of Sungshin Womens’ Univ.. About 40 people including friends and families of the awardees attended the ceremony.
Seungwon Kim, head of support headquarters, said the UCC competition was held to meet students in a friendly way as Hyosung is the company producing intermediate goods which are the basis of industry. He encouraged students by saying “I am greatly impressed as the entrants of the UCCs were of very high quality in both content and form. I hope you will realize your dreams with creativity and enthusiasm shown in the competition.” Although the competition was held for only three weeks, students revealed a lot of interest – a total 154 UCCs applied and 75,000 people participated in the competition.
