Hyosung Information System hits record high sales in the first half of this year

- Company sweeps domestic high-end market with a whopping 75.7 percent growth year on year in storage sector.


Celebrating its 23rd year in business, Hyosung Information System reported an astonishing 75.7 percent growth year on year in the storage sector in the first half of 2008.
Compared to a mere 2~3 billion won in sales in the second business year in 1986, this year’s sales are expected to record 250 billion won, which is a remarkable 100 plus times growth.
Starting from mainframe business 20 years ago, Hyosung Information System has been pioneering the industry for a long time by first introducing storage to the domestic IT market, when the concept of storage wasn’t familiar to the industry.
Especially in celebration of its 23rd anniversary, the company has been growing for a long period of time in the fast-paced IT industry, which reflects its contribution to the development of the IT industry.
The company’s marketing team manager S.U. Kim said, “It is unprecedented in the IT industry that the company has achieved success of more than 100 times growth since its foundation based on steady efforts and customer reliability for more than 20 years.” and added, “I’m expecting that the company will accomplish yearly sales targets of 250 billion won this year considering that 30 percent of total sales revenue has usually been achieved in Q4.”
Hyosung Information System plans to maintain continuous efforts in big markets such as the public sector, large conglomerates, and official electronic documents depository, while consciously focusing on potential markets, which are expected to grow tremendously in the future, such as the SMB market based on various solution portfolios.
