Hyosung Information Systems is set to supply Hitachi Universal Storage Platform V (USP V) storages, a terabyte-class, high-end virtualization storage system, to the National Health Insurance Corp. (NHIC) to support a project for the construction of an integrated business management system.
The Company has come to supply the virtualization, high-end storage solution, USP V, by securing a number of references to allow the centralization of operation and management of NHIC’s storage environment through integration, and to increase its efficiency.
The project is aimed at increasing efficiency in the management system by integrating the storage environment and simplifying and stabilizing the system infrastructure. By constructing the system, the Company aims to attain the goal of “enhancing managerial efficiency and increasing the quality of public services,” and thus allow NHIC to efficiently manage internal data and offer stable services to the public in the future, by banking on the system as an infrastructure for all different operations of the state-run company.
Lim Hyun-soo, Senior Vice President for the public sector business headquarters at Hyosung Information Systems, said, “The Company is maintaining its leadership position in the public sector business, while further consolidating its competitive status in the high-end storage market,” as he explained the significance of the deal.
Hyosung Information Systems has secured various cases of customer services that are centered on high-end storage systems for large sites in the public sector market, including NHIC. The Company plans to further step up offensives to expand market share by banking on specialty products and services.
