Hyosung ITX enters digital cinema projector business

    Hyosung ITX plans to enter the digital cinema projector market. To this end, Hyosung held a press meeting with the Korean Film Council on March 20, and introduced three types of projectors for digital cinemas from NEC of Japan.
    Lee Hoi-taek, President of Hyosung ITX, said, "We will launch business for e-cinema projectors that can be used at auditoriums, churches and military barracks in addition to the business for digital cinema projectors that is focused on movie theaters. The Company aims to earn 25 billion won in sales in this area this year." The company also plans to step up marketing and sales activities by providing a total solution to the display area, including LCDs, PDPs, and monitors, as well as digital cinema projectors.
    Meanwhile, Hyosung ITX aims to attain 150 billion won in sales through the establishment of a call center, CDN project, and projector distribution.
