Chairman S.R. Cho re-elected as 10th chairman of Korea-Japan Economic Association

- 'I will exert efforts to conclude Korea-Japan FTA'
Chairman S.R. Cho has been re-elected as the 10th chairman of the Korea-Japan Economic Association at the 27th general assembly of the association held on February 26.
S.R. Cho was re-elected along with the association's vice chairmen, Kim Yoon of Samyang Corp., and Park Sam-koo of Kumho-Asiana Group, whose terms also expired, at the general assembly.
S.R. Cho said, "Korea-Japan relations, which have been at a low point, will take a step forward in the wake of the inauguration of the new government and a visit to Korea by Japanese Prime Minister Fukuda Yasuo," adding that "This year we will exert efforts to conclude a Korea-Japan FTA, which Korean and Japanese entrepreneurs seek to forge."
Meanwhile, the KJEA decided to hold this year's meeting of Korean and Japanese entrepreneurs in Urayasu City, Chiba, Japan from May 15 to 17.
