Hyosung EBARA Co., Ltd. the largest pump maker in Korea, has won a project to construct large-scale seawater desalination facilities using reverse osmosis technology for Hyundai Steel’s new integrated steel works.
The project, which has been commisioned by Hyundai Rotem, is a large-scale project to build seawater desalination facilities that will have a daily processing capacity of 125,400 tons. By winning the project, Hyosung has laid the foundation to emerge as a specialized engineering company for seawater desalination projects.
Hyosung EBARA is pushing to win seawater desalination projects in many countries including India, and expects to see notable results in the near future.
Hyosung Ebara is participating in the “project for domestic development of technology for, and process optimization of construction materials for seawater desalination plants,” as one of its key players. This project is part of the VC-10(Value Creator-10) for the Ministry of Construction and Transportation.
