They are expected to grow into future leaders of Asia.
YLP (Young Leader's Program), part of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s scholarship program, aims to foster future leaders of Asia and other countries, establish a friendly relationship among these countries and contribute to the overall establishment of improved policies. Participants will take classes at the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo for a year and receive an MBA degree.
Hyosung sent Kim Young-ho of Technical Yarn PU and Jung Yoo-jo of the Management Innovation Team of the Strategy Headquarters in 2009. This year Yoon Min-sun of the L-New Business Group of the Strategy Team was selected and is participating in this program. Recommendees for 2011 were selected and are presently waiting for the document screening process and interviews. The coursework is designed to focus on management strategy, marketing and finance/accounting to train professional managers and all classes are conducted in English. Participants will have a tuition waiver and receive funds for their education expenses (including living expenses). Applicants must fit the purpose of this program and their TOEFL IBT scores must be at least 100 points with GMAT scores of at least 600 points. As the age limit is 35, I hope many Hyosung employees will continuously take advantage of this great opportunity by preparing for it in advance.
Kim Young-ho of Technical Yarn PU Overseas Sales Team, who participated in YLP (Young Leader’s Program) from last September till this past August, said “it was a valuable time in terms of self-development. I hope that much more young talented Hyosung men and women will challenge themselves and benefit from the YLP program.”
