Hanwoo Association invites Hyosung workers to baseball game

On August 13th, Hyosung attended the Arirang Mokdong Korean Beef 2010, a local beef promo, at Seoul’s Mok-dong Baseball Stadium, where the match took place between Nexen Heroes vs. LG Twins.

The beef PR program invites workers from businesses that are contributing to the economy of Seoul and promotes participation in communal pastimes and corporate unity. The program also aims at encouraging citizens to increase their Korean beef consumption.

Hanwoo Association, the local beef organization, invited 1,000 Hyosung employees and players of the Mokdong Little League to the outing and provided a lunch that served Hanwoo (Korean beef) and Tteokgalbi (kneaded, marinated and grilled rib eye). Before the game kicked off, the Hanwoo Association president, Nam Ho-gyeong, threw the first ball and one of the little league players hit the first throw. The colourful event also included the presentation of a Hyosung Group appointment plaque for Korean beef promotion.

The latest Hanwoo promotion program appointed the star hitter of Nexen Heroes, Lee Sung-yong, as the ambassador of Korean beef promotion. This marketing scheme further promoted the consumption of local beef and upgraded the overall image of the beef products. Also, the first 500-odd visitors to the stadium received a gift comprising a Hanwoo burger. Additionally, a wide range of events were offered for everyone present at the game, including climbing a ladder and solving various Hanwoo quizzes. The winners’ names were drawn and they received Hanwoo barbeque sets and many more gifts.
