All three of the Labs’ WPM submissions earned the victorious nominations
Hyosung R&DB Labs victoriously garnered nominations in all three of the World Premier Materials (WPM)’s 10 areas to which it had submitted. This massive Ministry of Knowledge Economy-hosted national-policy program is part of the Lee Myung-bak Administration’s initiative. The goal is to help transform Korea into joining the ranks of the world’s four largest parts material industry powerhouses. The government will be supporting a 1 trillion KRW budget by 2018. Hyosung recently received task-implementer nominations in carbon-neutral premium Ketones textile, multi-functional nano complex materials capable of conserving and transitioning energy and multi-faceted polymer membrane materials.
Hyosung plans on securing distinctive core technologies in next-generation materials engineering and concentrating on R&D on globally-competitive new materials. The company also plans to secure its global market leadership by focusing on technical R&D via intensive resources mobilization.
