Management Team’s SH Choi presented work environment enhancement case
On July 8th, Choi Seong-hui, an employee at the Jincheon Plant management team, earned a grand price (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) at the 2010 Industrial Safety and Hygiene Competition. Representing the Jincheon Plant, Choi outperformed his competitors from 10 other operations during the final round of the nation-wide industrial health and hygiene conference hosted annually by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). Divided into 10 areas including a successful zero-accident case study and work place health and hygiene initiative, the competition showcases finalists (operations) in each area, each of them presenting their cases and competing for the highest ranking. Choi presented a case study titled “The Power of Positivism,” sharing various work environment-enhancing activities that were implemented at the Jincheon Plant.
