The Ulsan Plant Tire Cord Production Team 1 members win 1st place in hard power
The conference aimed at enhancing local companies’ innovation capability and, to that end, it evaluates a vast diversity of improvement and innovation programs, excavates performers in innovation offices and operating groups with unparalleled outcomes and encourages their achievements. At the event, competitors’ program case studies were shared in hopes of establishing sustainable production-improving systems and increasing the value of competitors. The selected candidates registered at the competition this past March through free entry and went through about four months of thorough documentary review and site inspections.
Hyosung’s Pegasus Group, the grand-prize winner in hard power, was formed in January 2004 as a TPM group. Composed of a director, Park Geun-seong and 12 members, the group has been a constantly super-performing presence in the Allma process, one of the crucial ones in tire cord production. In addition, they have swept numerous prizes at various competitions as well as the grand prize from a renowned internal competition. Pegasus’s entry into the Inno-Skill competition as Ulsan Plant’s representative was finalized when they secured first place at the 2010 TPM Group Competition, where the cream-of-the-crop groups from each PU, selected from the plant’s 117-odd groups, competed.
