Six PS and IN staffers received honors
On July 30th, HQ hosted the Proud Employee of the Month awards. The May winners included Jang Yo-sik (Carpet Sales Team manager, Interior PU); Paek Heung-geon (Pittsburgh Team executive VP, Power Systems PU); Yun Tae-hwan (Overseas Sales Teams 2 and 4 executive VPs); Park Byeong-ju (Power Transformer Design & Engineering Team 5 deputy senior manager); Jason Neal (HICO America VP); and Lee In-seon (Overseas Sales Team 4).
The Carpet Sales Team manager, Mr. Jang, earlier saw the limitations in the local carpet market, whose growth is declining and focused on promoting medium to large special project sales with builders and design offices. For the past decade, his strategy has helped the company to achieve annual goals for orders and massively contributed to increased sales within the company. As for the winners from the Power Systems PU, their transformer engineering has earned technological as well as quality recognition from the U.K.-based National Grid, one of the largest power transmission networks in the world. Their efforts helped the PU lay the groundwork for making moves into the European market. By garnering a big name for the company in the global market, the PS employees played a crucial role in securing long-term contracts from European clients and, thus, securing a foothold into the regional market, which is notorious for its conservatism.
