Galaxia Electronics Supply LED Display / Company Develops Technology for Better Picture

2010.06.15

Galaxia Electronics provided the LED Displays for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa for the cheering squad on the streets of Seoul – namely for the Bongeun-sa Temple intersection in Samsung-dong and another for the floating island at the Han River Renaissance, Banpo district. The screens at the Bongeun-sa Temple intersection included the 600-inch (12m X 6m) main display and a supplementary 300-inch (6m X 3.6m) screen; the 300-inch screen was installed on the floating island. In contrast to the electronic sign boards from the past, the new LED displays can be mounted side-by-side to create a giant display area with full HD resolution.

Minimizing the gaps between the frames of the screens is what makes the difference in technical expertise. Moreover, Galaxia Electronics was able to successfully close the gap in the screens to a mere 9mm. Other companies have made it to the 19mm mark, but Galaxia was able to develop the technology that can reduce the gap further to improve the overall picture quality.

Prior to the World Cup, the company has put together LED displays for the inauguration of President Barack Obama and the concerts for Beyonce, Celine Dion and most notably for the late Michael Jackson’s ‘This is it’ concert.
