Noted baseball commentator Ha Il-sung delivers speech
On May 20th, the Yongyeon Plant invited the renowned baseball commentator, Mr. Ha Il-sung, to give a special lecture on professionalism. Delivering his lecture on three sub-topics (motivation, spirit of challenge and enjoying what you do), Mr. Ha emphasized the obligation of professionals to honor the team before honoring individual members. He went on to stress the indispensable quality of professionalism as he illustrated stories about professional baseball players who put their “heart” (engraved with their team logo) first before their “back (printed with their names), focusing on team work to win the game. The lecture struck a chord in many in the audience who were from the plant. They said they were inspired anew to view themselves as the “owner” of the plant and do their best in their work.
