    “Eco-Conscious Partner, Hyosung” Boasts of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Prowess

    The promotion helps expand Chinese consumerism and strengthen image as a global company

    The EXPO 2010 Shanghai kicked off on May 1st, launching its 180-day journey. At the expo (with 192 participating countries from around the world), Hyosung presents itself as an eco-conscious company (“Eco-Conscious Partner, Hyosung”) and introduce its renewable energy (solar and wind power) and smart grid programs at the Sustainable Energy Hall. Collaborating with KEPCO, our company will be playing a central role in promoting Korea’s status as a leader in green growth. We also expect the Expo to serve as a fundamental opportunity to promote our Spandex, tire cord and ATM operations as well, emphasizing our corporate image as a technological leader in the global market.

    Preparing for the possibility of the Chinese market’s explosive growth, Hyosung has been making continuous investments in facilities since the late 1990s, building Spandex, tire cord and heavy electric plants in the Jiaxing, Zhuhai and Nantong areas in China.
