Customers from Hong Kong, China and Turkey Enjoy Custom-tailored Merchandise
Products in tune with customer needs, fabric and industry fashion trends, 1:1 marketing
Hyosung’s spandex brand Creora is strengthening its marketing efforts, targeting flagship customers overseas and launching more aggressive campaigns to secure its standing in the global market.
From April 8 to 9, Hyosung held its Creora workshop in countries such as China (Hong Kong and Guangdong) and Turkey (Istanbul), where it showcased the Fall/Winter 2011 season fabrics, suggesting fashion trends and promoted product lineups. The workshop aimed at reinforcing Hyosung’s partnership with some of its major clients in the global market and aggressively encouraged their use of Creora products when they work on new fabric development.
Custom-tailoring to the needs of each client by clothing item (underwear, outdoor fashion, denim products, etc.), Hyosung offered information on emerging trends that were suitable for each client company; presented a wide range of high-quality functional yawns to match characteristics of each client; provided customized one-on-one consulting services.
To further these efforts, Ms. Louisa Smith, a noted textile and fashion magazine columnist and trend consultant, was invited to personally lead the Creora workshop. Having been in charge of the brand’s direction production since 2006, Ms. Smith successfully managed to elicit many useful responses from the customers.
“This workshop was a tremendously helpful, novel approach that has inspired me to find new ideas about fabrics and an opportunity to increase my understanding of the trends. So I’m expecting this experience will help me carry out my fabric development and sales in significant ways,” said one industry executive from a Hong Kong-based fabric manufacturer, adding, “I hope Creora will continue to provide such distinct levels of marketing services in the future.”
The workshop emphasized green-friendly approaches; specifically, it suggested various trends in each clothing item, including ‘organic appeal’ that mostly utilizes natural or recycled fabrics. This ‘treasured’ trend focuses on a more traditional feel, yet achieves a balance between antique and modern approaches and ‘pure embrace’, highlighting the color white and seamless joints and offers advantage for underwear applications.
Hyosung unveiled Creora Eco (H-550), the eco-friendly spandex yawns capable of leading the aforesaid trends; Creora Black Spandex, the versatile color application in deep black; and other flagship function-enhanced products. Along with these, fabrics made of Regen (environmentally-friendly polyester yawns) and Mipan Regen™ (nylon yawns) were displayed as well.
