Kwon Ik-hyeon, senior vice president of the Industrial Materials PG and its S-Project TFT, was selected by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) as the country’s most prolific patent-holder in biochemistry research.

Mr. Kwon has been contributing to the comprehensive development of technologies in industrial materials, such as inventing lyocell tire cord to replace the conventional rayon tire cord. Lyocell tire cord that he devised is harmless to the human system, eco-friendly, and highly durable. It is thought to be the next-generation of tire cord, replacing rayon products.
