- Mission, core values presented to set company’s future direction
Hyosung announced the implementation of Hyosung Way, a value system designed to propel the company forward toward becoming a world-class global enterprise, at a ceremony held at the auditorium at its headquarters on July 29. Attending the event were more than 300 Hyosung executives and staff. Hyosung Way is a value system that has been devised to set the direction for Global Hyosung to move forward, and to ensure that all Hyosung employees at workplaces around the world unite under the same goals and the same mindset.
Hyosung Way consists of a mission, four core values, and eight principles of acts. The mission of the company is “to spearhead a better quality of life for humanity through superlative technology and managerial capacity,” which constitutes the ultimate goal of the company. Core values are “Best,” “Innovation,” “Responsibility,” and “Trust,” intended to serve as guiding principles that executives and staff are expected to refer to as the standards for their own thoughts and acts.
Explaining the reason for the adoption of Hyosung Way at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon said, “As Hyosung has become a global company that has established production bases in China, Vietnam, Europe and America, and hired more than 6,000 local staff, we need a corporate culture and value system that will integrate the thinking and actions of our executives and staff worldwide,” adding, “Hyosung Way is aimed at helping all Hyosung executives and employees at workplaces around the world concentrate competence on the same goals with the same thoughts in the same direction.” He went on to say, “I hope our staff will pursue the mission, and put into practice the core values in the process of all their duties,” urging them to use the ongoing global industrial reshuffle stemming from the worldwide financial crisis as an opportunity for the company to take a leap forward toward becoming a world-class global enterprise.
The company will stage diverse activities designed to help executives and staff better understand Hyosung Way and henceforth put it into practice.
