The booth also featured pioneering contributions to the new mobility sector. As the first Korean company to manufacture tire cords, Hyosung Advanced Materials has evolved into a comprehensive solution provider, offering fiber and steel cord tire reinforcements. The display prominently featured PET tire cord, which has secured the top global market share and multiple quality certifications.
The exhibition also featured Hyosung Advanced Materials' commercial and automotive carpets and mats, which have the largest domestic market share. These products garnered significant attention, especially because of its use of BCF yarns with superior durability, sound absorption, and noise insulation properties, showcasing why they are favored by leading global automotive brands.
Hyosung Advanced Materials Achieved Safety and Innovation in Mobility
▲ Display of industrial yarn and airbag products
Hyosung Advanced Materials showcased its contributions to automotive safety through its advanced textile products. Among the highlights were the PET yarns used in seatbelt webbing. Hyosung Advanced Materials produces a wide range of seatbelt yarns for vehicles from compact cars to large trucks. Renowned for their exceptional abrasion resistance, dyeability, and stringent quality management standards, these yarns have secured a dominant position in the global market.
The exhibition also featured high-strength, high-modulus, and heat-resistant yarns for airbags. These yarns are used in 3-Layer OPW (One Piece Woven) airbags, which provide comprehensive protection for passengers by maintaining their inflated state longer thanks to the elimination of sewing processes through special weaving techniques. Additionally, Hyosung Advanced Materials highlighted its pioneering achievement as the first company in Korea to develop and supply airbag PET yarns that can replace Nylon-66, reflecting the company’s commitment to meeting diverse customer needs.
