Hyosung Hosts History Lectures and Korean Traditional Music Concert Honoring "National Patriots and Veterans"

Hyosung held the concert <Sound of Heritage> at Theater Yong, National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 4th, featuring history lectures and Korean traditional music performances in commemoration of the Month of Honoring National Patriots and Veterans and Korean Traditional Music Day.

Held in cooperation with the Korea Mecenat Association, this performance was designed as a program for easily and vividly conveying the meaning of the spirit of honoring national patriots through history lectures and Korean traditional music performances. History lecturer Choi Tae-seong introduced the value of patriotic spirit in Korean history focusing on the life and spirit of Admiral Yi Sun-shin and Ahn Jung-geun. Pansori singer Choi Jae-gu and a Korean traditional music ensemble then performed original music inspired by their stories.

At the event, Hyosung invited students from education welfare priority schools in the Seoul metropolitan area, who have relatively limited opportunities to experience culture and the arts, enabling the next generation to experience history and traditional culture naturally. “It was an enjoyable time to learn the historical stories and the meaning of honoring national patriots and veterans,” students who participated in the performance commented.

Meanwhile, Hyosung continues to carry out various social contribution activities in the areas of honoring national patriots and veterans, culture and arts, and support for vulnerable groups, including support for persons of national merit and their families, sponsorship for the production of barrier-free movies, and assistance for the rehabilitation treatment of disabled children.
