Hyosung ITX (CEO Nam Kyeong-hwan), Hyosung′s IT affiliate, is accelerating Hyosung′s Smart Factory Project, together with Dassault Systems, a company specializing in 3D modeling and data management.

Hyosung ITX held the signing ceremony for the ′strategic partnership agreement′ for the establishment of Hyosung Group′s cloud-based Smart Factory with Dassault Systems on February 3, 2020.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dassault Systems will provide the 3D modeling and data management solutions, while Hyosung ITX will carry out consulting and technological support aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Hyosung Group′s factories using the solutions provided by the partner company.

Upon completion of the project, Hyosung Group′s factories will be able to conduct integrated data management throughout the entire production process ranging from the planning, design and development of a product to its production, shipment and follow-up management, making their manufacturing environment more advanced than ever before.

Thus far, Hyosung ITX has been implementing the Smart Factory project by establishing a global standard production system for 2018′s global No. 1 product ′spandex′ that is capable of analyzing big data, monitoring the production process in real time, and detecting quality risks. Since last year, the company has been providing consulting on the road map to establish the Smart Factory for Hyosung Heavy Industries.

Hyosung Chairman Hyun-Joon Cho emphasized that ″We have to lead the era of Big Data by converging IT technologies with the existing production system. It is vital to establish a system that can respond promptly to our customers′ demands in order to respond to the era of ″singularity″ in accordance with the development of AI.
